In HAIL CAESAR! players are either the Emperor, or a Usurper, each with asymmetrical roles and goalsThese roles change hands throughout the game as players take each other out.When the Emperor is ousted, the killer takes their place.

Can you control the fire without getting burned?The Senate is the institution of intrigue and whispers. If you can outthink your enemies, you can outmaneuver them.The Traders deal in gold, the lifeblood of power in the Empire. Earn it, control it, and wield it against your foes.

Build a Legacy

Create your family bloodline by drawing from the character deck to play as the real legends of Rome, using character abilities inspired by their historical personalities.When your first character dies, play as your next one, your descendant.

Kill Your Friends

Plot their downfall.

Take the throne.

Navigate the Roman Empire as you plot, sabotage, and assassinate your way to the throne!

As the Emperor, play your cards to keep the empire stable, fabricate charges against other players, and have them executed in the name of the justice!

As a Usurper, play your cards to build spy networks, bring chaos to the realm, and kill the Emperor.
But beware! Push the empire too far and it may come back to haunt you as the new Emperor.
